At the beginning of your leadership journey? This course will give you the confidence, core skills, and a shared language of leadership to lead from day one.
Who is this for?
This programme is for:
- Individuals aspiring to transition into their first leadership role
- Individuals who have just been recently appointment into their first leadership role
- Those who may have recently stepped into middle leadership
- Those preparing for new leadership roles.
Programme structure
The online programme consists of six, 90 minute modules delivered live online totalling 9 hours of learning. The programme covers six core modules:
- Exploring Leadership and Professional 麻豆传媒
- Foundations of Leadership
- Leading and Following: Building Effective Teams
- Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership Communication
- Leading Strategically and for Quality Improvement
- Future Focus as a Leader
What will you gain?
Gain the foundations you need to step confidently into new or future first leadership role. You'll build your leadership skills, contribute to a stronger organisation and help improve outcomes for learners.
CORE LEARNINGS
Explore and self-assess areas of leadership and relate these to professional standards for new leaders.
Compare leadership and management roles, identifying the characteristics of effective leadership.
Explore personal and organisational values, introducing and understanding different leadership styles.
Analyse and discuss strategies for managing others including supporting staff wellbeing, the concept of fellowship and leading with emotional intelligence.
Stakeholder analysis, how to examine leadership communication styles and how to build and share a strategic vision.
Techniques for fostering a shared vision and setting expectations for others.
Review approaches for quality improvement and innovation including the utilisation of data.
Apply reflective practice, coaching strategies and action planning for personal professional development.
