The Beyond the label: workforce, transition and the future of SEND reform report brings together frontline insights and sector-wide priorities to improve support for learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) in further education and skills.

Developed by the ETF and FE News Bridging the SEND Transition Collective, it explores how to make transitions smoother, foster lifelong learning and neuro-inclusion, and strengthen workforce development for sustainable inclusion.

The report offers practical recommendations for policymakers and providers, highlighting the need for anticipatory systems, universal design principles, and a culture of continuing professional development. The report is also accompanied by an accessible infographic that highlights the reports key themes.
